Kayli Mickey-McIntosh

Starting her twirling career at age 4, Kayli has been active with twirling for most of her life. Although she started by guilting her mom in to teaching her, Kayli has shown continuous passion for learning and teaching the growing sport. She has been blessed to have been trained by top coaches and judges in the country, including her mother, Patti Mickey.

Kayli was “The Doll” (aka Feature Twirler) for Southern Methodist University from 2008-2013 in Dallas, TX. Throughout her competitive years, she won several State, Regional, and National titles including several gold medals from the AAU Junior Olympics. After she finished competing, Kayli continued to share her love for twirling by teaching students and clinics throughout the country.

While living in Dallas, she worked as a professional Makeup Artist, Social Media Manager, and executive Chief of Staff for a Fortune 10 company. Realizing her true passion was teaching twirling, Kayli moved down to Houston in 2019 so she could teach with her mother full time. She actively uses her previous job experience to actively improve herself and Mickey’s Majorettes where she can.

A NBTA licensed judge, Kayli has judged numerous local, state, regional, and national competitions. She is also certified through Acrobatic Arts to teach Acro Dance.

With her husband, James, Kayli currently lives in The Woodlands, Texas where they raise their two fur-babies: Anaela and Nero.
